happy new year!!
This is a bit of a drive-by post, as I have lots to tell and not much time!
I rang in the new year in Albany, of all places, as some of our cast performed at the Governor's Inauguration celebration on Monday. We went up Sunday night, checked into our gorgeous hotel, and headed over to a party thrown by the Lt. Governor (I think!) We thought it would probably be a stuffy affair where we would stand in the corner and make fun of everyone, but it turned out to be really fun with a kick-ass band and was really a pretty nice way to spend the evening.
The performance the next day went well, despite a major microphone malfunction and a lot of drama getting to the theatre (Spitzer's staff meant well, but our priority was finding the dressing room, not watching the governor's speech) The whole event was later than planned due to the weather, so we missed our train and got driven home in a giant stretch limo! It was a hoot, our driver was so sweet - we went to McDonald's and the girls got recognized by a young Wicked fan in the parking lot!
I brought knitting that didn't get touched - I've returned to the Glampyre bodice, and I'm also trying to use up some stash in a few projects. However - I finally have finished photos of the braided scarf aka the scarf that ate my brain! It's GORGEOUS, Kate loves it, and I am so glad I made it!
I love it!
In other news, I'm still working on goals for 2007 (not resolutions!) but one is to take more and better photos. I've started a photo-a-day album which is listed in my sidebar. I'm also posting on my flickr page. Check them out and let me know what you think!
